Supernal provides an inviting open-space workplace designed to foster collaboration, which aligns with one of our core values. This position is required to work on-site 5 days a week.
What we do:
The Senior Accountant is responsible for the development, implementation, and/or maintenance of the company accounting systems pertaining to journal entries, general ledgers, revenue reconciliation, cash flows, etc., in accordance with GAAP policies and procedures. This position designs operational procedures and processes that meet audit standards and improve efficiencies to ensure the integration of data produced into the systems. The Senior Accountant also guarantees the accurate consolidation, analysis, and reporting of accounting data and revenue.
What you can do:

Lead accounting month end closure by closely monitoring the accuracy of expense classification entered from both PO and manual accrual entries

Be able to prepare preliminary month end financial and monthly FS summary after closing

Draft the monthly and quarterly investment report and streamline the process to be able to train other team members as needed

Take charge of reviewing monthly reconciliation of GL accounts those mapping into liabilities including expense accruals, credit cards and employee payables

Lead of the financial audit for the year end by preparing and providing PBC. Be able to explain the current processes and communicate with auditors timely and support the managers as needed

Provide recommendations with the document to enhance and improve the existing controls that may delay or cause inefficiency to the team

Train and guide other staff accountants to be able to perform the duties at the next level

Manage outside consultants for various tax matters such as business licenses, property tax, R&D tax credits, use taxes, income taxes and others. Work closely with a manager as needed

What you can contribute:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent required; Master's degree preferred

A minimum of five (5) years of relevant accounting experience (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)

Experience in IRS reporting and internal/external audits
-
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

Strong integrity and work ethics dealing with highly confidential and critical documents and information
-
Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards (IFRS)
-
Solid understanding of GAAP accounting principles and financial statements
-
Strong knowledge of valuation and financial modeling techniques/skills
-
Strong understanding of ERP systems and ability to pull detailed data

Advanced proficiency with ERP accounting systems (SAP, etc.)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-
Proactive delivery of communication and follow up
-
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
-
Must have the ability to independently prioritize and accomplish work within time constraints

Proficiency with Excel VLOOKUP, pivot tables, MS Office Suite
You may also be able to contribute:

Experience in Big4 accounting firms preferred

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification preferred
Base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for a bonus as part of total compensation.
